The Coast Ranger is a 48' vessel which was built in 1967 for the BC Forest Service as a patrol boat and serviced the mid-coast and QCI until 2009 when the current owner purchased her.
The engine was replaced with a 1978 Detroit 8V92 240HP. The Isuzu 9Kw generator and oil stove was replaced in 2005. She also has a hot water boiler which supplies heat to all areas of the ship. The sewer system meets code and has a vacuum flush head and full size shower with a holding tank. Both house and 12 volt systems batteries are new.
The Coast Ranger is professionally designed and constructed of yellow cedar, carvel planked over bent oak ribs. The wood decks are sealed and coated. There are 1" welding rails and a raised pilot house with access on both port and starboard sides.
She is fitted with a steel bat-wing and weighted keel. On the aft deck there is aluminum storage boxes and fuel tank with pump for gasoline. On the fore deck there is a hydraulic anchor winch with 100' of heavy anchor chain and 350' of 1/2" wire rope. There is also an A-frame sigh hydraulic a boom.
There is a recent survey that is available. The boat was last hauled with bottom paint and zincs 2018. The ship has all modern electronics, cruising spares, tools and is turn key.
