SV Tuahine SOLD

CA$35,500.00

SV Tuahine is a wood cutter rigged double ender.

Marine architect Bill Garden design Hull No.490. The commission is closely based on Mr. Garden’s “Seal” design.

Length on deck 36 ft., Beam 11 ft., Draft 6 ft.

Keel laid in 1965 and hull completed 1967 by boatbuilders Berryman and Wallace on the Fraser River in Vancouver.

She is Carvel planked with 1-1/2” fir and red cedar on steam bent oak frames. The deck is teak on two layers of 1/2” marine grade plywood.

She has a box mast made of spruce stepped through the deck onto the keelson.

Tuahine is powered by a 4 cylinder, 2-1/4 Litre Land Rover diesel engine that has been marinized by Ruston Rover of England so the engine is fresh water cooled through a heat exchanger.

She swings a 22” two bladed bronze propeller.

We have been living on board Tuahine for over 35 years and have found her to be comfortable and fun to sail. She is a great coastal cruiser. She is moored in Victoria.

We are asking $35,500 Cdn.
