LADY JANE SOLD

CA$10,000.00

Introducing Lady Jayne, a remarkable Dragon class sailboat that boasts elegance, craftsmanship, and a rich history. Launched in 2006, this stunning vessel has been meticulously maintained, spending the majority of its life sheltered indoors, with only 3 months each summer exposed to the elements, always protected under cover.

Lady Jayne's exterior showcases a timeless and distinctive bright wood finish, though it's worth noting that some areas may require attention, with signs of cupping on the veneer. Despite this, the boat's inherent beauty and potential shine through.

Crafted between 2000 and 2006 in Pender Harbour, British Columbia, Lady Jayne adheres to the Dragon Construction Plans, ensuring a pedigree of quality and precision. The cold-molded hull is skillfully constructed over White Oak keelsom and ribs, measuring 37 mm by 25 mm, spaced 600 mm apart. The exterior features African Mahogany, while the deck boasts Yellow Cedar strips embedded in black epoxy joints atop 6 mm marine plywood.

The mast and boom are crafted from Sitka Spruce, providing strength and resilience. Western Maple seats line either side of the cockpit, offering comfort and a touch of luxury. Hand-crafted blocks, using African Mahogany with Purple Heart sheaves featuring brass bushings on stainless steel axles, showcase the attention to detail and craftsmanship that defines Lady Jayne.

This complete package includes not only the boat but also a set of sails, a stem-to-stern cover for protection against the sun, a custom-built two-axle trailer for convenient transportation, and a reliable 5 hp engine to power your voyages.

Lady Jayne's specifications further underline its excellence, with an overall length of 29'4", a weight of 4,000 lbs, a beam of 6'5", a stepped-mast height of 33' above the deck, and a draft of 3'10". Don't miss the opportunity to own a piece of maritime artistry with Lady Jayne – a sailboat that promises not just a journey on the water, but an experience steeped in craftsmanship and nautical heritage.
